New Certification Center for Repatriated Migrants

The government of Puebla plans to create a Training and Certification Center for Employment in San José Chiapa, as part of the federal program "Mexico Embraces You," aimed at repatriated migrants. This initiative aims to provide migrants with the opportunity to obtain certifications in various job skills to access new opportunities in the labor market.

José Luis García Parra, Cabinet Coordinator, mentioned that the center will be located in the municipality of San José Chiapa, which aims to become the Valley of Technology. It will focus on training and certification in emerging areas such as technology and self-employment, allowing migrants to generate income through new forms of work facilitated by digitalization and technological advancements.

Additionally, an agreement has been signed with the National Chamber of Cargo Transport (Canacar) to train repatriates interested in joining the transport sector, which is fundamental to the state's economy. With these actions, the government seeks not only to support repatriated migrants but also to boost the local economy and strengthen productive sectors through training and labor linkage.

The program will also offer support to women entrepreneurs to start their own businesses, facilitate labor intermediation to bring migrants closer to local companies, and provide financing for small and medium-sized enterprises. In García Parra's words: "Six mechanisms have been established to assist repatriates."
